As Fall passes by all too quickly in Alberta, so does the swift progress for Gravity Architecture. October brought lots of project milestones and industry involvement. From breaking ground on major developments to celebrating permit approvals and project completions, here’s a look back at what Gravity shared this past month, in case you missed it!
Double Groundbreaking: Porte’s 17th Ave Mixed-Used & Currie Barracks Multi-Residential
Gravity celebrated the start of construction on two major developments with Porte. The 17th Ave Mixed-Use project will bring a fresh combination of street-level commercial space and upper residences to the bustling 17th Avenue corridor. Meanwhile, over in Currie Barracks, the multi-residential building expands residential opportunities in the master-planned community.

Celebrating the Finish Line: Project Spotlights
As developments reach completion, Gravity continues to celebrate the clients and teams who bring them to life. October featured two notable projects:
Ascension Block by Cantiro Homes: Completion of the south phase wraps up the two townhouse rows. Architectural photographer Bryce Baker caught the finished project at the end of a rainbow, a perfect shot to mark the full completion of this site.
Seton West Phase 2 by Logel Homes: Landscaping is now finished across the three condo buildings as Logel welcomes new homeowners into the amenity-rich South Calgary community.
Permit Progress
Gravity’s projects have also seen a high rate of permit approval for the month of October. A highlight for this month was Luxuria’s exciting townhouse addition to the University District: Vanguard on Block 11 is now just one Building Permit away from full approval, with three townhouse building BPs approved and the fourth submitted!
