Reynaldo Nambayan
Senior Architectural Technologist

With over 20 years of experience in the architecture industry, Reynaldo brings a deep understanding of both design and technical detailing to every project. His approach to architecture is based in the belief that the most successful designs are those that balance creative vision with real-world constraints—transforming abstract ideas into spaces that are not only inspiring but also practical and buildable.

Reynaldo developed an early passion for drawing during quiet sketching sessions with his father. Though his father was a lawyer, his artistic talent left a lasting impression, sparking a lifelong interest in form, structure, and design. This foundation led Reynaldo to earn a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from one of the Philippines’ top architecture and engineering institutions. He went on to become a licensed architect in Manila and was an active member of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP)–Tandang Sora Chapter before moving to Canada.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, medical, and institutional sectors, with a strong focus on commercial developments. His portfolio includes work on the RMWB Jubilee Centre Renovation in Fort McMurray, the Royal Vista Landing in Calgary, and several modular, retail, and childcare facilities throughout Western Canada. He also brings international experience from projects in Singapore and China, including work with the Singapore Zoological Garden.

For Reynaldo, a dream project doesn’t require grandeur, it simply needs to serve its community well, harmonize with its environment, and leave a lasting positive impact. He recalls one such modest project from earlier in his career that, despite its small scale and limited recognition, became a cherished landmark.

Outside of architecture, Reynaldo finds joy in sketching and watercolour painting, as well as working on repairs and detailing of cars.
