Kathryn Thorkildsen AT
Project Manager

From Frank Lloyd Wright to Frank Gehry, Kathryn has always had an appreciation for all styles and methods of architecture and knew from a young age that she would have a career in the industry. In 2003 she graduated from the Architectural Technologies program at SAIT with a primary focus in Single Family Residential.

After a couple of post-graduation stepping stone positions with local home builders, Kat found her groove working with Jackson McCormick Design Group where she learned the ropes of managing projects through construction drawings, product research, permits and site visits. She then became a member of the innovative product development team at Albi Homes where she honed in on her love for design, and her team was rewarded with multiple Regional and National SAM awards.

Since joining the Gravity team 2017, Kathryn has been heavily involved in designing and overseeing several single- and multi-family residential projects. Kat enjoys collaborating with not only her own team but also with those outside of the organization to ensure the ultimate goals of the client are met, thus leading naturally into her taking on the role of Project Manager in early 2023.

Kat’s curiosity for how things are made and her enthusiasm to create extend well beyond her role at Gravity. Wood working, fibre arts and renovating her home are balanced with hiking and camping trips, multi-day canoe or rafting trips, as well as sharpening her gardening skills. Seeking to always have music and the arts in her life, she attends countless events throughout the year, so if you see her out and about, be sure to say hello!
