Arrive Crestmont

Arrive Crestmont is a residential and commercial project by Partners in the community of Crestmont on the west edge of Calgary. It is comprised of 175 residential units, a multi-bay commercial building, and a daycare together on a 5.270 hectare site.

The multi-residential projects range from 1,335 sq ft three-storey townhomes to 2,552 sq ft bungalow villas. Many face intimate, traffic controlled streets, while others have big views over a regional park to the Rocky mountains in the distance. All units have private garages.

In the central space between the commercial building and the daycare we have designed a public plaza. This is the perfect community meeting place, and is easily accessible to residents within this project and from the surrounding community.

One of the challenges of this site is the grading. The land slopes down from north to south, so access, drainage, and retaining were all significant obstacles to overcome. Of the 30 residential buildings, no two are alike as each one has a different site condition to meet. Many units take advantage of the site by having walkout basements.

Taking the cue from precedent in Crestmont, the buildings range in style from traditional Craftsman for the residential buildings to a more contemporary version for the daycare. The commercial building is the most modern building on the site.
