Nicholas Tam
Architect AAA NCARB BArch MRAIC
Project Architect

Nicholas spent much of his childhood drawing cross sections of imaginative machines, scale charts of animals, or assembling fictitious cityscapes out of tissue boxes and paper towel tubes.

This penchant for drawing and craft eventually led to his pursuit of a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Southern California, winning multiple studio commendations and awarded the opportunity to study at the Politecnico di Milano for a semester, immersing himself in classical Roman architecture, Italian literature, and field studies throughout Italy and Switzerland.

Nicholas brings his multi-faceted experience in athletic, institutional, industrial, medical, commercial, and low-high rise multi-family projects to Gravity Architecture. This breadth of architectural background encourages him to challenge the repetitive nature of conventional mixed-use and residential developments; imbuing each design with meaningful narrative and unique sensibilities to the genius loci.

As an eternal optimist, Nicholas sees opportunity in every difficulty and executes projects from sketch to site with an exceptional level of organization.

Travel and field sketching continue to be a treasured habit for him to this day.
