Killarney 3/3

Killarney 3/3 is a small townhouse project Calgary's Killarney community built by Integer. It has three two-storey townhouses units, and each of these has a separate rental suite below. The townhouses each have a private garage on the lane.

This is a great housing type for this location. Because it is only one block from the 17th Avenue commercial street and three blocks from the Westbrook Train station, there is no expectation that the suite residents (or even the townhouse residents) will need a car. This allows six families—of various sizes—to live on a parcel that formerly only had one single family house.

We are thrilled that Integer chose bold materials for this project. The deep indigo stucco contrasts nicely with the glossy corrugated metal siding. Laser cut addressing guides visitors to the at-grade townhouse entries or the sunken patios that lead to the lower suites.

Only counting the townhouse units (and not the below grade suites) this project achieves a density of 64 units per hectare.
