Edmonton Trail Commercial

Sometimes it’s hard for people to imagine a small commercial building being successful because we have become accustomed to this category of building taking the form of strip malls behind a field of parking. However, when we follow a simple recipe–reduce the setback at the street, arrange parking at the rear of the building, limit the number of parking stalls, and use high quality materials on all the facades–we can achieve a successful outcome like this one.

This little building is now home to three retail spaces on Edmonton Trail in Calgary.
