Drake Towns by Partners
In 2020, Partners asked Gravity to design townhouse project in the Drake Landing neighbourhood of Okotoks. The project is designed for the rental market, with the desired density achieved by stacking units.
The units vary in size between 1441 and 1545 square feet, with the lower units having either one or two bedroom, and the upper units all having three bedrooms.
Partners collaborated with Westwinds Communities with one of the buildings. Westwinds is a not for profit organization that provides subsidized housing and services for individuals and families and seniors. This building was modified to provide two accessible units at grade.
The buildings are of wood-frame construction with non-combustible Hardie panel and siding cladding.
The site plan was designed to accommodate at grade amenity space for the lower units, common amenity space for all residents’ enjoyment, as well as a community garden. All vehicle parking is provided on surface lots.
Construction is planned for completion in 2023.
